Miharu squeezed Eiko's hand tighter. "I'd get up to hug you, but I don't think I can stand up right now," he croaked in an attempt to be light-hearted, but instead he just sounded heartbroken and pitiful. He'd spent so much time trying to cheer people up that he hadn't allowed himself to be upset, but why did the one time he broke down have to be in front of the one person he wanted to cheer up? His face was probably disgusting too, what with all the tears and snot...

She smiled unsteadily "W-when you're able to stand up, w-wanna go get some food....?"

Wiping his soggy face on his arm (possibly the only moment he regretted never wearing sleeves, because now his arm was all gross), Miharu smiled up at Eiko shyly.
"I'm always up for food," he said, echoing his earlier conversations with Eiko. Food was always great for cheering people up, no matter who they were.

Miharu stood up a little shakily, grabbing the side of a desk to steady himself. Breathe, man. He took a couple deep breaths to calm himself down and stop any other tears from falling.

She smiled at him
If Miharu was okay that was good.
Very good.
She couldn't stand another person being sad.
She began to wheel herself to the door "Come one, then" she said, looking back at him "If this is possibly going to be my last meal I don't want to be along when I have it, kay?"

"Oh, come on, don't say that! You're gonna live for a lot longer. Remember what..." he paused, hesitating for a moment."...Jin said? No one is gonna die anymore, yeah?" He walked behind Eiko, keeping one hand on the wheelchair.

Her smile faltered. Jin. God, she wished her was still here. The boy was nice, even if he was being controlled.

"Well, that's why you have me," he laughed a bit nervously, a little worried about the turn in the conversation. "I may not be as smart as Desmond or anyone else, but I can certainly hold my own weight in a fight. I've still got quite a bit of muscle on me, believe it or not."

She didn't seem to notice the turn. "Mmmhm, I can tell. But no, still, I go off by myself a lot, so ehh." she smiled "But I'm sure nothing will happen."
