A thread for the wheelchair wonder, who somehow managed to get herself to the fourth floor without anyone(she thinks, atleast) noticing. intense clapping in the background. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Eiko sat in one of the empty classrooms, leaning back in her wheelchair, wincing. Her leg hurt, but it was worth it. The empty classrooms were nice and quiet. She stared at the ceiling sadly. Why was everyone dying? She closed her eyes, groaning in frustration. Why wasn't she dead yet, also? It was a bit odd. Why not kill the wheelchair girl? She then thought of the people still alive then how she hadn't talked to miharu in a bit. She wondered how he was doing. Was he okay?
(At some points I want them to be a couple but then I think about how that'd make eiko happier)

So this was what the fourth floor looked like... Miharu was looking around the highest accessible floor of the academy. It certainly beat looking at the other more familiar floors. He felt less in danger of being brutally murdered here, which was a nice feeling
He poked his head into one of the supposedly empty classroom and his heart sunk. There sat Eiko in her wheelchair, looking mighty pitiful. How the hell should he approach her? He practically abandoned her to deal with his own problems, there was no way he could waltz up to her and start talking to her like old times.
(please just let her be happy for once)

(H a h maybe who knows I might make this worse) She shifted her leg. "Shitshitshit" she hissed , then quickly re positioned it. The other place was too painful. She hated this damn chair. She then looked up, noticing someone else was there. Miharu. She found herself smiling a little bit. He was okay. That was good.

She was in pain. Miharu's heart ached even more than it did when he first stepped into the room. How could he have left her alone like this? This was practically all his fault, oh god. He could've stopped her, he could've been there, he could've prevented this.
Nevertheless, he plastered on a fake smile and stepped further into the room. "Hey, Eiko, how've you been?" He knew the answer she would give, but it seemed only natural that he would ask anyways. His voice didn't sound like it was cracking or anything, which was good. Maybe he could get through this encounter with minimal breakdowns.
(dont u dare)

Her smile faltered a bit, but she kept it anyway. "Fine. I'm doing fine." she said steadily, lying. She was not fine. She had committed suicide. She wondered if everyone else knew that. She wouldn't be surprised. But she kept polite conversation going "And you?"
(laffs if I do you can't stop me)

Ah, that's pretty much what he expected. She had every right to lie to him, but it still kind of hurt. Okay, it hurt a lot. She was pretty much his only friend at this point, as pitiful as it sounded.
"I'm fine, still not dead or anything ha ha," he chirped back, trying to keep up the charade. Fake it 'til you make it, right? Honestly, he was a lot more "fine" than most of the students, but it was still a stretch. Nightmares didn't exactly happen every night when someone was "fine".
(i can and will stop you)

She nodded smiling a bit more "I can see. Its good to see you're alright." she said honestly

Miharu nodded vigorously. "Yeah, same to you." Eiko didn't look fine at all with her broken leg and all, but why stop lying now? It was horrible, but it made him feel a tiny bit better, at the very least. He could live off of fake happiness, as long as he could pretend it was true.

She, unlike miharu, couldn't stand it. She sighed, then blurted out "I'm sorry"

Miharu's smile faltered, revealing wet eyes ready to overflow. "No, you don't need to apologize for anything. It's my fault for abandoning you. I'm so sorry, Eiko. I'm so, so sorry. I'm sorry for everything!" He was pathetic. He was a pathetic piece of trash that didn't deserve forgiveness from anyone. Shadows who only blend into the crowd deserve nothing.

"No no its fine." She said "you're fine. I don't blame you. But I-I'm really sorry! For not talking to you! And being a wuss!" She teared up "I'm sorry for not being able to survive till the end with my sanity! I'm sorry for jumping down the stairs, trying to commit suicide!" She whimpered, saying the last part a bit quieter

Please don't cry please don't cry please don't-
But everyone knows that whenever you try to hold back tears, they end up falling anyway. It's a weird phenomena, of sorts. Your tears actively disobey what you want them to, without even being sentient. And so the tears fell from the boy's face.
Rather than run away once again, he walked closer until he was standing right in front of Eiko, and then he crouched, grasping one of her open hands. "I'm so sorry! I should have been there!" He sobbed, voice catching in his throat.

"I-Its fine. R-really." she said hoarsely, crying still. She laughed mirthlessly "I-I'd give you a hug, b-but I don't think my ribs would enjoy that much."
