Different AU:
5:00, at a boarding school, on a balcony setting:
Romance Always ends with death. That much Eiko knew.
Romeo and Juliet, for example. Aida, also. Pryamus and Thisbe. In these stories, both characters in love, in the end, died FOR love.
She leaned back in her chair, staring at the boy in front of her intently as she thought this concept over. He was chattering about some thing or another;she didn't exactly know what.
Still, though, the least she could do was pretend to listen. He was, of course, one of her closest friends. She didn't exactly know how or why this happened; it just did.
So, back to the situation at hand. Kesu, as was his name, was probably talking about plants. That was his thing, right? She sighed, flexing her fingers. He was talking a lot. This interrupted her previous chain of thought, which she had continued by going over more sob stories.
This led to another thought: What was it like to kill someone you love?
it was a interesting thought. Not that anyone in those stories ever did so; they had merely all had a misunderstanding, and killed THEMSELVES. Not that that mattered, of course; she was sure there was atleast one story out there where lover killed lover.
She stared at the boy in front of her again, focusing on him. She supposed she cared enough about him to test it out. Not love, though. Well, maybe. She couldn't exactly tell quite yet, though she doubted it was.
But she could try it? After all, he was unsuspecting.......
She grimaced. Why was she thinking like this? It was strange
But, then again, still interesting. And she had a way to make sure it didn't come back to bite her if she did do it.
She thought it over.
Yes. She would do it.
She took a look around her at the room. She needed to see what weapons were available for use.
A Chair.
A Tablecloth.
A knife.
A Plant pot.
She thought about the last option, quite amused by it. Wouldn't it be ironic to be killed by the thing you love? It'd be perfect.
She tapped her fingers on the table. She was most definitely strong enough to do so. She was good with sports; she'd be able to lift a pot.
She could then smash it down on his head. She'd have enough strength to.
Would it kill him? Maybe.
If not, she could suffocate him with the table cloth, or use the knife. She would decide when the time came.
She looked up at kesu. Thinking about it now, she found it adorable that he suspected nothing. She smiled. Of course, he would think this was at his talking.
Quite boring. She rose, telling him she had to get something from her bag.
He nodded in his approval.
No regrets, no regrets, she would make sure of that.
She went over to their bags, which were conveniently placed behind him, near the plants.
she glanced at her 'friend'
Good, he wasn't looking. He had no idea, she reassured herself. She had to go through with this. She had to know the feeling. She can't stop now. Too curious.
Curiosity killed the cat, but who says who the cat is?
She picked up a pot. It was a decent size, and filled with colorful flowers.
She looked down at it. Such beautiful flowers. Shame they would die along with him. But not in vain, she would make sure of that.
She turned to him. He still hadn't turned. Good. Now was the time. She lifted the pot over his head, then slammed it down.
SMASHThe came down upon him as fear, betrayal, and surprise filled his face.
She dropped the remains of the pot, hands bloody.
He was bent over in pain now, his own blood streaming down.
He was still alive. Oh well, that would soon be remedied.
She picked up the knife in her aching hands, holding it up above his back
"Sorry, kesu dear, I really did enjoy your company" a shaky laugh fell from her lips "Goodbye, friend..."
The knife embedded itself in his back, and he let out a weak cry of pain. He shriveled, blood all over him and eiko.
She smiled. She had done it. She had doneitshehaddoneitshehaddoneit.
She pulled out the knife. After a few moments of squirming, the boy in front of her died.
She felt........scared. Well, not of this. This made her feel ecstatic. All the built up pain from past years gone!
She feared what she had to do now
Oh well. No regrets. None. She had to. The police, or someone else, would be here soon, she supposed. She would rather not deal with them.
She lifted up the knife. She placed over her chest. Someone ran in at the same moment. Perfect timing, idiot.
She shakily looked at them, a smile adorned her lips, though tears streamed down her face
She laughed unsteadily
"See you in hell" she whispered, then slammed the knife downwards into her chest.
No more regrets for the Romantic, for she would not be alive to feel them
