I've been asked to do a thoughtful rant on my theories on the Mastermind, so... //cue rant//
The top suspects for the Mastermind are the characters belonging to the mods - that being, Taro, Nanashi, Four, Ennosuke, and Frank. However, as Mint y's character was the Mastermind last season, there's almost no chance that her character will be the Mastermind this season. Other likely characters for the Mastermind would be characters of people from season 1, whom Moss would know well. So, to list those who were in season 1 - tomokomustprotecteveryone, angrychill, All Ollie All The Time (llama), Koxio, and of course we can't forget me ( M). That adds the characters Tomoko, Tori, Koto, Jaxan, and Juliet. (Note: Just because Juliet is dead doesn't mean she isn't a choice for the Mastermind - Naoki (s1 mastermind) was a murderer, and his execution was faked. But I'd say the chances of Juliet being the Mastermind are a bit lower because of this.) The people who most likely won't be the mastermind are inactive/not very active/not on the forums members. So, we can pretty much eliminate LadyElle and kitkat, and possibly SHSL: why haven't i died yet, myra, and august. (although the last two do kinda have dead chars~) Any members/chars not listed have a slim chance of being the mastermind. So, to sum it up: the chars most likely to be the Mastermind are: TaroFourEnnosukeFrankTomokoToriKotoJaxanJulietPersonally, if I had to choose a single one who I thought it was, I'd say Frank. :3 //cue end of rant// <3 BECAUSE you gave me this beautiful little template here I would like to expand on it and try to rule out some people from it. The list we have been given is seen above, so I won't retype it. I feel pretty comfortable ruling out Juliet and Tomoko--Juliet because she's dead, and, as M has already so kindly pointed out, the plot in which an already-executed person turned out to be the mastermind has already been played through. This rp has been designed to be separate and unique, so there would be a different plotline from S1. I already ranted to Ali about why I think Tomoko should be ruled out, so I'll tell you what I've come up with in a cute little list format. This is all assuming that the mods have chosen based on personality and interactions within the roleplay. - His reactions to the murders, trials an executions. Tomoko beats himself up about not being able to protect everyone. A true Mastermind-someone who was actually wanting to see people murder each other-wouldn't be so devastated to see people die around him. (While this does not discount a person alone, I will continue with my evidence.)
- Tomoko literally puts himself in danger to try to protect his "charges", also known as his classmates. The Mastermind wouldn't risk endangering himself for the sake of the people he locked in a ship to kill each other.
- While Tomoko has killed in the past, I do not believe that this would make him the Mastermind. He killed in the past to protect his brother; I do not believe (based on what Tomoko has said/done in the roleplay) that he would kill for any other reason than to protect someone.
You may go ahead and doubt what I say or disagree with my reasoning-I'd love to hear what ya'll have to say.
So, the list in my opinion is now: Taro Four Ennosuke Frank
Tomoko Tori Koto Jaxan
Juliet
Do with my added rant what you will, I'd love to hear some more of these theories.
Ahh, great points! I definitely agree - except I wouldn't completely rule out Juliet., as you've more recently pointed out. I'm going to add some thoughts on how each of the people I suspect might or might not be the Mastermind. TaroFOR: he's the character of the head mod, making it easy to work out any behavior changes due to moss's evil plans. also, to some, he might seem almost too innocent - maybe he's hiding something? a perverted love of causing suffering to others, perhaps? oh, wait, no, that's moss.AGAINST: he's extremely innocent, both maturity-wise and violence-wise. doesn't seem like the kind of person who'd create a while mess like this, not the kind of person who would approve of needless killing. FourFOR: one of the mods' chars. also slightly suspicious-looking, and, with his shsl, an important candidate for mastermind. though he does seem generally nice, you never know what he might be hiding behind his mask. AGAINST: he does seem kinds nice. *shrug* and why would he make himself seem suspicious by wearing a mask if he were the mastermind? also, he seems like a rather obvious choice for the mastermind. EnnosukeFOR: one of the mods' chars. again, with the suspicious-looking mask? not too much is known about her, although she doesn't seem quite as suspicious as four. AGAINST: she seems to be a generally kind-hearted, empathetic person. she also seems to get nervous easily - not exactly a great trait for the mastermind. FrankFOR: one of the mods' chars. not much is known about him, and he seems rather ambivalent to the whole situation. AGAINST: he hates boats and water with a burning passion. if he were the mastermind, he probably wouldn't have arranged for this all to be on a boat, would he? ToriFOR: she almost seems too happy at times, even when most people are sobbing with despair. although perhaps that's just in her personality. AGAINST: she's an extremely kind, happy person who can't stand even the idea of death. KotoFOR: according to llama, he's a "whiny bitch". meaning he's not as adorable and kind as you may think he is. also llama has no soul, but that's completely irrelevant.AGAINST: he's really helpless and innocent seeming. although that could be an act. JaxanFOR: being an actress, she could easily take on the role of an innocent student while secretly being the mastermind. AGAINST: though she acts tough, she's been rped many times - especially after trials - breaking down in tears, because she's not actually as tough as she seems, and the stress and despair is actually getting to her quite a bit. Juliet
FOR: she was only the second person - out of many people - to break and kill someone. and the first was a mentally unstable person. also, although she's kind most of the time, she does sometimes break her nice and happy shell and yell and threaten people. AGAINST: she seems very kind to most people, and is almost happy. additionally, she seemed very distressed after the first murder, and before her execution as well. Anyway, these are just my thoughts~! Feel free to correct me or toss additional ideas at me. [ kano shoeya ]

'slurred scream' anyone? Also she was so badly concussed she went towards the monobear moustache whatever so,,, yeah we can rule Juliet out

Hello, I'm going to insert my opinion. I don't think any of the past suggestions are correct, simply because it's too obvious. People are either expecting those most likely to murder or those least likely to murder, as that is what we've been taught to expect. Expect the unexpected, but don't loose suspicion of those more likely. (If that makes sense) Because of this, no one is suspecting those in between, those sitting on the line between most likely and least likely. While everyone is considering Nanashi and Ennosuke, Taro and Koto, it could very well be someone like Micah, who is completely overshadowed by others. I think it would be interesting if it were Fermata. Everyone is aware of her extreme fear of blood and the like, so no one would really see that one coming. I dunno. Just my thoughts. I actually think that this is very likely.

What if we are overthinking all of this? (Not sure how, but it could be possible)

Watch as it ends up being someone nobody has suspected. thank you actually probably gonna happen. What if the mods are looking at this, and being like, "we didn't actually choose, let's see who they don't mention!"
