Juliet stood nervously, resting her elbows on the podium and her head in her hands. She had screwed up, she had seriously screwed up, but there was nothing she could do about it this time. No apology or excuse could save her from this situation.
It had been a spur-of-the-moment decision, really - all the anger and loneliness and uncertainty that had been pent up inside her for so long had eventually just come exploding out of her, and, while her judgement had been clouded by all her negative feelings, she had done it. She thought she had planned it well enough - cleaning up after herself the best she could, hiding the evidence.
Once the deed was done, and she had gone back to her room, she began to regret it - once she remembered that if she got away with the murder, everyone else would die. Tomoko, Frank, Koto, everyone on the ship would be killed. But, at the same time, she wasn't willing to give herself away immediately. She honestly didn't know which outcome would be better, so she remained silent for the trial.
But of course, the bear had to go and help the others discover who the murderer was. And then... Tomoko. In a way, making a false confession had actually saved his life, but she still couldn't help but wish, deep down inside her, that he had remained silent. Because if he hadn't spoken, she wouldn't have spoken, giving herself away.
But maybe, she reflected, it was for the best. Maybe, now that everyone else still had a chance to live, they could try to find some way for them to escape - for all of them to escape. Taking a deep breath in, she straightened up to her full height of 4'11" and looked Tomoko in the eye. "Thank you for your help and support, sir," she said, hoping her voice didn't sound like she was about to break into tears. "But please don't do anything that would put you in danger. You need to stay around to protect everyone else, too." She took a single shaky breath in. "I'll miss you, Tomoko."

Perhaps it had been the lack of comfort, or just the fact that she may have lost a grip on it from the lack of sleep- it didn't matter really- but for some reason, Tori couldn't stop herself from smiling. She tried to force it down, and even covered her mouth, but it was still there and didn't go away. Perhaps- perhaps, Tori just forced smiles on too much and they got stuck? No matter now. She was slightly unnerved, though; what are the others going to think of her? Especially... A rush of memories and anxiety suddenly hit Tori, reminding her that there was something wrong. Neither Myra, Mori or Red were standing here-- soon, Juliet would be gone too. Nononoononononon. This was wrong. It couldn't be happening. They're just going on vacation, she reminded herself, and tried to calm her breathing. Her eyes looked at every corner and every attendant, searching for a familiar, alive and friendly face. Seeing as they were all concerned with other people, she withdrew to herself. Like always, right? Right??? Right???Letting out a shaky breath, Tori closed her eyes and tried to focus on herself only. Her breathing, movements, and feelings. Nothing else in this room. And silence. It was so loud here, wasn't it? Alright, now the trick they taught you. Inhale for 9 seconds, exhale for 11. Inhale short, exhale long. Inhale, exhale.

Misoka felt the room spinning. The butler. She had always seemed so nice. Oh, god. Her eyes fell on Tomoko. Sweet, caring Tomoko... She had felt she had to protect him, but was struck dumb by the sheer surprise of it. No. They were liars. All of them... This wasn't happening...
Gripping the railing of her podium, Missy swayed. Oh, god. Oh, god. She looked pale and felt lightheaded... A feeling of nausea was rising in the pit of her stomach. She looked desperately at Tori, then Tomoko, then Paris and at Koto, with big, pleading eyes overshadowed with doubt.
Doubt. It was all she could think of. Doubt and pain. She still felt sick about seeing the body, and more so about the confessions, especially about Tomoko's false one. Missy had never doubted Tomoko, but she knew he couldn't have done it. Something in the pit of her stomach had rejected it.
But Juliet...
She couldn't have. It was a lie. They were all lying. Every last one of them were liars.

Claire had an urge to take a selfie with Juliet, since it would be her last few minutes on this planet, but decided to suppress the urge instead. This wasn't the time to do such things, especially since the mood was so grim...and another one of their friends would face a cruel and unusual execution. Well, not exactly one of her friends, but somehow Claire knew from looking around the room that Juliet had plenty of friends around here. At least, a lot more than herself, which barely consisted of anyone, unless you count Darren and Kura, whom she hung out with a few times. Keeping her mouth shut, the blonde looked around the room, at everyone's faces. Oh how she wished that they were anywhere but within the court room...

Oh, god. It wasn't happening. This wasn't... Happening. She tried to pull herself up... Pull herself together and be strong, but she couldn't bring herself to... She couldn't.... Missy knew she looked weak and knew that was dangerous in front of a group of potential killers, but she couldn't pull herself together. I'm going to die, she thought. I'm going to die and no one will care that I'm dead but me. And even I won't care. It might even be better than this hell we're living.Looking up, she tried to dispel the desperation in her eyes. "I-I'll..." She stammered. "I'll be fine." No. She couldn't let weakness show... She had a will to live... She had her project to do. Work to do. Something to do that made her want to live. But she still felt sick. Her head spun, but she looked up with cold determination; face pale and jaw clenched.

Micah looked around, and didn't say a word, as if his tongue had been cut off. He wanted to ask and say so much to everyone about this, but simply could not. He let a tear roll down his cheek.
